About Me

I am a natural light photographer located in the East Valley of Phoenix. I love to capture life as it happens. My style is very laid back and I strive for natural, fun photos that you can cherish as memory keepers for years to come!

Photography has been a passion of mine for many years. I started years ago with a 35mm and unfortunately was unable to pursue the hobby as much as I would have liked what with school and work and life. I taught 6th grade in West Phoenix for five years and while I enjoyed it, I love that I am now able to stay home with my daughters and focus on my photography.

With the birth of our first daughter 2 years ago I invested in a DSLR and have been able to invest the time to practice and learn through workshops and classes. I am slowly building my business while I stay home with my beautiful daughters, Savannah and Juliana. I feel very fortunate and am thankful to my wonderful husband, Dan, who makes it possible for me to do so!

JMO in some more ADORABLE creations from Lavender Bird Creations!I just love these little spring dresses, and so do the girls! Also found a great new spot with some awesome trees I can’t wait to use again! The girls were a little more cooperative than usual (Savannah especially is getting comfortable in front of the camera!), so that was a bonus! I just <3 them!!

Not too long ago I had a local musician who needed head shot photos taken contact me. So we headed downtown and got some head shots as well as some fun shots. It’s been awhile since I’ve done pictures where I didn’t have to jump up and down and make babes and kiddos laugh – it was a really fun session!!

Welcome to my blog!

I am a (relatively) new photographer in the Phoenix East Valley! I am currently scheduling Newborns, Children, Families, Maternity and Senior Portraits. I *love* capturing candid moments and prefer natural light settings.
The best times to capture those perfect pictures are in the early, early morning light or the late afternoon, just before the sun goes down.

W h a t T o E x p e c t

What to Expect

When you book a session with me, you can expect a laid back, fun and easy hour long "portrait" session. I will provide a relaxed atmosphere during which I will snap those fun, candid and natural pictures. While I am a Lifestyle photographer, and really strive to get those candid pictures, I do realize that the family picture and portraits are important as well. That being said my "Traditional" family pictures capture your family's personality in a little bit more of an un-traditional way!
I am always up for new locations if you have something in mind, or I have several local outdoor locations that I use as well!
